六、Procedures 教學過程

(1) Introduction 匯入新課

We’ll have special lesson today, do you know what does the word “special” mean?

[學生回答] It means “特殊”.

[教師承轉] Yes, special means particular, not common, special here mean we’ll have a different lesson today, not the same as usual. (talk about the lesson to attract the students’ attention)

(2) Presentation 教授新課

[教師提問] As we all know, there are mainly three kinds of people in the world. What are they?

[學生回答] the black, the white and the yellow.

[圖片演示] 肯定學生答案,出示三張三種人種的圖片。

[影片放映] A film about races.

[教師承轉] There are three kinds of people in the world: the white, the black and the yellow.

[圖片演示] 演示更多學生熟悉的照片,如中國的周恩來總理,楊利偉等,還有美國白人明星,總統布什等,還有黑人馬丁·路德·金和黑人小孩的可愛照片。

[學生活動] 學生描述圖片中的人物。(包括長相,身高,美醜,頭髮,表情,年齡,喜怒哀樂等思想感情)。豐富多彩的圖片為學生討論發言提供了平臺,使英語油然成為交流的語言工具。英語語境渾然天成。

[師生總結] 三大人種基本特徵。學生填完下表:

[地圖演示] 三大人種的分佈。 在完成上表分佈欄目前,超級連結到三大人種分佈圖(主要分佈地區附英文名字)。  注:人種不同的特徵表達,對七年級的學生來講,存在一些生詞,比如:curly, undulance, flat等等,此時對這些詞,我除了利用圖片中人物的頭髮直觀的形狀來解釋,還充分利用簡筆畫表達,學生很快就領會了,並且很快就認識了生詞。透過看圖反覆說話,學生很快就能用新單詞了。

[學生活動] 觀察人種的分佈地區,在雙語地圖的幫助下,用英文說出白色人種、黃色人種和黑色人種的分佈地。

[幻燈片切換] 總結三大人種的分佈,完成上面的表格。

[學生思考] 黑人的祖先源於非洲,為什麼如今南北美洲都有很多黑人分佈? The black are from Africa. They originate from Africa. But to our surprise, there some black people in north and south America. Why is that?

[學生回答] They are sold to North and South America.

[教師講解] 黑人被販賣到美洲及世界其他地方的'過程,黑人對美洲的發展做出的貢獻,特別提及美國黑人領袖Martin Luther King 和他的運動。

[影片放映] Martin Luther King的“I have a dream” 的演講片段,讓學生沉浸在真實地道的美國英語當中,切身領略Martin Luther King的滿腔熱血和精彩的英語演講。

[結論] Conclusions: men are created equal. It is wrong to look down people because they are different from us. So things like racial prejudices(種族歧視) should be removed.

(3)Exercises 練習設計

The students strengthen what they have learnt and practice reading comprehension and writing in doing exercises. The teacher correct the students’ mistakes they made in exercise to improve their English writing.
