情態動詞的'用法：
1、need表示“需要”或“必須”,通常用於否定句,疑問句,條件句。
（1）You needn't do it again．你不需要再做了。
（2）He needn't worry about it．這件事他無需擔心。
（3）Need he do this homework first?他需要先做這些作業嗎?
（4）Need they fill in the form?他們需要填表嗎?
2、在否定句中,可以用need的否定形式＋不定式完成體。
（1）We needn't have worried．其實我們不必要慌。
（2）You needn't have mentioned it．你本來不必提起這件事。
（3）You needn't have said that when he asked．當他問的時候,你其實不必要說。
3、needn't後的不定式間或也能用進行式或被動語態。
（1）He needn't be standing in the rain．他不必要站在雨中。
（2）We needn't be waiting in this place．我們不必要在這兒等。
（4）The hedges needn't be trimmed this week．本週樹蘺不必要整修。
4、其一般疑問句的答語,肯定用must,否定用needn't。
Need I go with her? 我需要和他一起去嗎?
Yes,you must. 是的,你需要去。
