  At home I help my parents with housework. And I also often help my grandparents. We all love each other. At school, I work hard at all the subjects. The teachers all love me. And I get on well with my classmates. I never throw litter around. I never say bad words about others. I have a lot of friends. I often talk with them about many interested things.

  I am always happy. I am always wearing a smile on my face all the time.

  My mother said to me :“Open your eyes!And look out of the window. What a fine day! Let’s go to park,” So my mother, my classmate and I went to the park. We took some foods in my schoolbag. On the way to the park. I saw the blue sky with snow-white clouds. I saw pear trees and some apple trees and so on. Below the trees, there are several kinds of flowers. It’s colorful, blue, red, yellow, pink, purple, orange and white. I saw some balloons and butterflies in the sky. I ate popcorn, cornflakes, banana and lollipop. They were wonderful. In the afternoon, we went to the zoo. I visited the birds, mice, cats, dogs, budgies, hamsters, rabbits and so on.

  每個星期六下午我都要去諸暨補課,補得是英語在那裡上課給了我許多的快樂,每次上課的過程中還可以一邊學習英語一邊玩遊戲,遊戲玩的都是英語遊戲,非常的有趣,在那裡上課好多同學都覺得在那裡上課很有趣還有外教來上,外教就是別的國家來的老師,幾個星期在上一節,我們補課是在下午的,只有三節課,可是在那裡上的每一節都很快樂的。

  記得有一次,有一個英國的外教來交了我們一堂課,那個外叫特別搞笑,所以上他的外教課也非常快樂,非常的高興,我們還玩了殺人遊戲和木頭人的遊戲,殺人就是老師用手碰到一個人的頭要別人來猜,這就是殺人遊戲,木頭人我們一邊念英語一邊擺各種姿勢,當老師說:“停的時候。”我們就不能動了,老師又用各種姿勢來逗笑我們,我們就在心裡說就是不笑可老師總是能找出三個,找到三個就可以動了,然後要他們表演,一般都是男生,而且都是說英語的。

  原來學英語可以這麼快樂。

  Compared with over 100 days' exhausting school life, summer holiday is definitely a golden time for relaxation and entertainment. We can set aside the studies, lock away the textbooks, forget everything about school, and greet the new life with our arms open up. During the two months' loose, we enjoy ourselves thoroughly, sleeping till when the sun is high in the sky, playing computer night and day, watching TV as long as we want to, and traveling around like a tramp. Time rolls by, and it is not until at the end of the holiday that we suddenly find our home assignment remaining blank sheets of paper. Then we go mad, and devote the last days to fulfilling the homework.

  The same summer holidays pass year after year, and year after year, we regret when they come to an end. We regret having wasted so much time on recreations, instead of our lessons, and regret having worn away our youth in trifles.

  Although it was still the case this summer, I dare say this was the most fruitful holiday I had ever spent. Yes, the summer holiday I enjoyed most is this year's.

  At the very beginning of the holiday, our head teacher instructed us to make the most of the summer coming up, and then turn ourselves into bookworms. I took heart on hearing it, and at once mapped out a long list of hundreds of tasks I was going to perform. I was even in higher spirits in the first days of the summer, dreaming that I stuck to the whole schedule and became a super girl the next semester. But my ambition didn't stand the test of time. It was only a few days later that my attention was continually attracted by the Internet, novels, and shopping malls. Time flew surprisingly fast. When the vacation was already over, I realized in astonishment and despair that I had acted on only a half of my plan.

  However, I am now consoling myself with the thought that it is human nature to have a rest after a long term's study; hence it is not realistic to keep working hard, even though the horrible Senior 3 was just around the corner. Therefore, I am satisfied. I am satisfied with my daily routine in which I spent an average 9 hours in sleeping, 2 hours in eating, 2 hours in surfing the Internet, 6 hours in doing some trivial things which I couldn't even remember, and the other 5 hours in studying. After all, I have done my possible. What is more, I did have a precious pause between the intense school days, and seized the last chance to relax in my senior life. So, this was a holiday combined with rest and work, wasn't it?

  The elusive secret of happiness could be as simple as remembering the good times and forgetting the regrets, a new university study reported yesterday.

  For people who look at the past through rose-tinted glasses are happier than those who focus on negative past experiences and regrets, according to a new study published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences.

  The study helps explain why personality has such a strong influence on a person's happiness and the findings suggest that people with certain personality traits are happier than others because of the way they think about their past, present and future.

  The study examined how peoples' ratings on the "Big Five" personality traits relates to their approach to time and life satisfaction.

  The "Big Five" model assesses how extroverted, neurotic, open, conscientious and agreeable a person is, and rates individuals as high or low on each personality trait rather than assigning them a personality type.

  "We found that highly extraverted people are happier with their lives because they tend to hold a positive, nostalgic view of the past and are less likely to have negative thoughts and regrets. People high on the neurotic scale essentially have the exact opposite view of the past and are less happy as a result," said Ryan Howell, assistant professor of psychology at San Francisco State University, who authored the study with SF State graduating senior Jia Wei Zhang.

  "This is good news because although it may be difficult to change your personality, you may be able to alter your view of time and boost your happiness," Howell said.

  The authors suggest that savoring happy memories or reframing painful past experiences in a positive light could be effective ways for individuals to increase their life satisfaction.

  Numerous studies over the last 30 years have suggested that personality is a powerful predictor of a person's life satisfaction. These latest findings help explain the reason behind this relationship.

  "Personality traits influence how people look at the past, present and future and it is these different perspectives on time which drive a person's happiness," Howell said.
