will作助動詞的用法：
（1）He will come.他要來。
（2）She will go to Shanghai.她要去上海。
（3）I will give you a pound in part payment .我將給你一英鎊作為部分付款。
（4）He will assist you to complete the task .他將協助你完成任務。
will作情態動詞的用法：
（1）will“慣於，老是，總是”表示主語的習慣性，傾向性，經常性，必然性，不可避免性。
a.People will talk.人總會說閒話。
b.Boys will be boys.男孩終究是男孩。（傾向性）
（2）will“願、要，會”表示意志、意願，決心，諾言等。
a.I have made up my mind to go and I will. （意志）
b.I won't do it any more ,I promise. （諾言）
（3）表示說話人向對方提出請求或詢問對方的意思，有“你……好嗎、你願……”（這時will與 would 通用，而would更委婉，也可以用won't）。
a.Will you join in our discussion？你願意參加我們的.討論嗎？
b.Would you please tell me your telephone number？請告訴我你的電話號碼好嗎？
c.Won't you sit down？你不坐下嗎？
（4）will表示說話人的猜測，意為“大概”。
a.That will be the book you want. 那大概是你所要的書。
b.Ask him. He will know. 問他吧，他大概知道。
（5）表命令或指示
a.No one will leave the examination room before 12 o'clock.
任何人在12點之前都不許離開考場。
b.You will do as I told you. 你得照我說的去做。
