lay做動詞原形時解為放，擱;下蛋,此外可以表示lie的過去式。

lie的用法：
一、lie表示“撒謊”的意思時
1、可以用做名詞，表示謊言;假話
I've had enough of your lies...
我已經聽夠了你的謊言。
2、可以做動詞，搭配有lie about sth 關於...撒謊;lie to sb，對某人撒謊，騙人
I know he's lying...
我知道他在說謊。
3、lie 動名詞lying，表示“撒謊”的`行為
Lying is something that I will not tolerate.
我絕對不能容忍撒謊這樣的行為。
二、lie表示“躺著” 的意思時
1、做動詞， 躺;平臥
There was a child lying on the ground.

2、被平放

3、(某處)位於(某個位置或方向)
