fruit是否可數：
1、表示“水果”時，通常用作總稱或集體名詞，不可數。如：
He just lived on fruit. 他只靠吃水果維持生命。
Would you like some more fruit? 你要不要再吃點水果?
若表示水果種類，則是可數的。如：
The mango is a tropical fruit. 芒果是種熱帶水果。
The tree bears a red hard fruit. 這種樹結一種紅色堅硬的'果實。
但有時到底是表示總稱還是種類，完全取決於具體的語境，有時兩種情況都說得通。如：
The country exports tropical fruit(s). 該國出口熱帶水果。
2、表示“幾種（多種、各種）水果”時，可直接說 some (many, various) fruits，也可用 some (many, various) kinds of fruit（後者通常用不用複數）。如：
Some [Some kinds of] fruits don’t freeze well at all. 有些水果根本就不能冷藏。
They sell various [various kinds of] fruits at that shop. 那個商店賣各種水果
